So, you can do an audio only call, but most people will do video calls: Setting up for a video call On a computer (You won’t be able to see anything.) It is best to mute the mic on your phone, so that people don’t hear all the sounds that surround you. Then you’ll be on a phone call where you can hear everything that happens in the meeting. If there was a password in the invitation, you’ll type it in too.
It will ask you to type in the meeting ID from the invitation. If you have an Android phone or a landline, just use your phone to dial any of the numbers listed at the bottom of the invitation (under “dial by your location”). If you have an iPhone, you should just be able to use the “one tap mobile number” which will dial the number, the meeting ID and the password. Or you may receive an email (or calendar appointment) that looks something like this – we’ll come back to these examples when we talk about how to join a meeting.Īt the simplest level, you can treat zoom like a conference call.
